While speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal had some harsh words for President Barack Obama and made a smart-aleck apology directed at former President Jimmy Carter.
While talking before CPAC, Jindal said that while he always felt Obama was a terrible president, his actions in dealing with Ukraine's situation and the U.S. military confirmed it, reports Politico. "We have long thought and said this president is a smart man; it may be time to revisit that assumption."
Jindal then said he had a "heartfelt and sincere apology" for Carter noting that while he often liked to say that Obama was almost as bad as Carter, that was no longer the case. "It is no longer fair to say he was the worst president of this great country in my lifetime, President Obama has proven me wrong."
The governor then turned his focus to the Justice Department and its lawsuit against the state over school vouchers. According to The Washington Post, Jindal compared the government's lawsuit to segregationists and Alabama Gov. George Wallace trying to prevent black students from going to class at the University of Alabama in 1963.
Attorney General Eric Holder and the DOJ is "trying to stand in the schoolhouse door to prevent minority kids, low-income kids, kids who haven't had access to a great education, the chance to go to better schools."
