Gregg Allman has put some of his shows on hold due to bronchitis. The musician was supposed to perform on Friday and Saturday, but could not perform.
Allman is under a doctor’s care and will be performing for the final four shows next week. Fans will have to wait to see Allman performing with his band. Ticket holders were sent an e-mail telling them that Allman would not be performing, according to JamBase. The Allman Brothers Band did the show as scheduled, and all remaining shows are set to go on as scheduled. The concerts began at the Beacon on March 7 and are set to conclude on March 29. The band is celebrating their 45th anniversary, according to the Associated Press.
Lehman says that Allman, 66, was in good shape until he got bronchitis. Allman previously had a liver transplant.
William Hurt was set to be in Allman’s biopic, Midnight Rider. The filming of the movie was put on hold after a tragic accident. During the shooting of the movie, a 27 year-old crew member was killed.
