Living up the “heavy” in the Heavy Montréal Festival name, the festival unveiled the line-up with three of the “Big Four” headlining with Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax.

According to Noisecreepthe festival will take place on August 9 and 10 at the Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montréal, with numberous acts including Lamb of God, Pennywise, The Offspring, and heavy metal cellists Apocalyptica.

Blabbermouth.net also noted Metallica’s headlining show will be “By Request”, a series of shows the metal titans have been performing, obviously taking audience requests for songs to be played.

Organizer Nick Farkas stated, "From its inception in 2008, Heavy MTL was created as a festival that would embrace the heavier side of music, from guitar rock to metal and everything in between. For 2014 we are excited to present a reinvigorated Heavy Montréal. With a brand new look and a programming direction that returns to our roots, 2014 is poised to be Heavy's breakout year."

Tickets go on sale Friday March 7 via the festival website with ticket prices ranging from $165 for weekend general admission passes to $400 “Gold” weekend passes.
