The singer/ actress Hilary Duff announced that she is returning to the music business.

On Friday, March 28, Duff made the official announcement by posting a picture on her Twitter account signing the actual contract.

“I! Have! A! Record! Deal!” The star wrote as her caption to photograph she posted on Twitter.

The former teen star who is now 26, has been working hard in the studio to create some new music, according to Star Magazine.

The last album Duff had released was her 2007 album entitled Dignity, and since she’s been pretty relaxed in regard to her music career.

In 2010 Duff married hockey player Mike Comrie and in 2012 the couple welcomed their first child together, Luca.

However, in January of this year, the couple announced that they were separating. At the time, Susan Duff, Hilary’s mother, told TMZ, “They’re better friends than a married couple.”

According to Star, music isn’t the only project that Duff has been working on recently. She has also been working on a new sitcom called Younger which is expected to air next fall on TV Land.
