On Saturday, Hugh Jackman, star of stage and screen, combined his most famous film performance with his penchant for musicals.

In a visit to BBC Radio 1's The Matt Edmondson Show, Jackman performed a selection from the faux Wolverine-themed musical as his X-Men: Days of Future Past character, the time-traveling Canadian samurai mutant Wolverine.

The song, a modified version of "Who Am I?" as performed by Jackman in Les Misérables, begins with the thespian questioning the relationship between actor and character, asking "am I a superhero with some claws or just an actor searching for applause?"

By the end, Jackman answers the query when he declares "and so my friend you see it's true, I am an X-Man who isn't blue."

Jackman is well-known for having two sides: the star of action movies like X-Men and Real Steel, as well as a Broadway performer in musicals like Oklahoma and The Boy From Oz.

In February, Jackman turned to Instagram to announce that he'll be hosting the Tony Awards for the fourth time. This year's award ceremonies will air on CBS June 8.
