Up and coming country music sensation Hunter Hayes is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for most concerts played in 24 hours this May. The singer will be attempting to break the record in order to help fight back against child hunger.

The current record is held by Jay-Z and The Flaming Lips who held and performed eight concerts in 24 hours.

Billboard reported that Hayes' goal is to perform 10 concerts on May 9th, starting on Good Morning America.

Other concert stops include Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The "Wanted" singer will conclude in Philadelphia with a 5 a.m. concert taking place at the Trocadero in Philadelphia, Taste of Country reported.

This 24 hour concert marathon will be in cooperation with ConAgra Foods and the Child Hunger Ends Here Program which Hayes has been working with since 2012. The 24-hour tour is titled, Hunter Hayes' 24 Hour Road Race to End Child Hunger. Read more about these charities here.
