On Wednesday, the Israeli army fired on Hezbollah militants after they tried to plant a bomb near the Syrian border.

The Israeli army fired missiles and started firing machine guns on two militants; however civilians and Internal Security Forces were also wounded, according to Syrian News Agency .

According to the Washington Post, Hezbollah vowed to attack after the Israeli army targeted one of their positions last week.

The Hezbollah is a Shi'a Islamic militant group and political party based in Lebanon. In other countries, the Hezbollah are considered a terrorist group. The group is also a stronger supporter of President Bashar al-Assad, who cracked down on protesters.

According to the Assocated Press, Israel is accusing the Hezbollah group of smuggling drugs to Lebanon, and has vowed to not let Hezbollah gain intelligent arms that could give them a leg up in the conflict.

It is not known if the failed attack planned by the Hezbollah militants on the Syrian border was retaliation or not.
