Korean pop group JJCC, managed by Jackie Chan, is in preperations to release their debut album.
The Associated Press reports that K-pop group JJCC, managed by Jackie Chan, has set a March 24 release date for their debut album.
JJCC consist of five males, all in their early 20s, four being South Korean, and one Australian-Chinese.
CEEO of The Jackie Chan Group Korea, She-she Lee, has explained that Chan was involved in selecting the men and will personally manage them.
All five group members can sing, dance, rap, and will possibly transition into acting in the future.
Chan has had success on his own after releasing Mandarin pop albums in the '90s. JJCC will be his first attempt to transition into Korean pop, a genre that is very successful in Asia.
According to KpopStarz, JJCC will debut in Korea before entering other markets in hopes that Chan's international fame can increase the chances of the group being recognized globally as well.
"JJCC will amaze the world with its different music and charm that has never existed before," a representative from The Jackie Chan Group Korea said.
