Last week, Jake Bugg, was one of the musical guests featured on American Idol's result show. Bugg who is an up and coming artist in the United States was one of the first musicians to appear on this season of Idol.
Even though Bugg performed on the show, he was confused about why someone would be leaving Idol during the results show. He recently talked to BBC Newsbeat and explained that Idol was "cruel" and "a dream smasher."
Bugg went on to explain in his interview that he only did the show because Keith Urban asked him to.
After his performance on Idol his album Shangri La broke into the top five on the Billboard charts, Billboard reported. His Idol performance resulted in a sales increase of almost 551%.
Not only did his current album rise on the charts but his Bugg’s self-titled debut came back onto the charts at No. 200 on The Billboard 200.
