Jamie Foxx and Kevin Hart are currently in talks to team up for the upcoming Black Phantom film from Sony Pictures. The duo is set to work with Tim Story, who worked with Hart on Ride Along, who is currently in discussions to direct the upcoming feature.
Hart would also be working with Ride Along producer Will Packer who will also be working with Will Gluck, Variety reported.
Dave Leave and Megan Hinds wrote the original script for the upcoming project.
The film will tell the story of a double-crossed hitman and mobster who needs the help of Black Phantom. Black Phantom is the same hitman who was sent to kill the original character from the start.
This would not be the first time that Foxx will be working with Sony. He can be seen in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Annie. In Spider-Man 2, Foxx will be playing the villain, Electro. Director of Spider-Man 2 Marc Webb, recently spoke out to fans about how many villains will be in the upcoming film, IGN reported.
"We're aware of those movies and the complaints people had. The main villain is Electro. Every other villain emerges around that. We were careful to make sure the stories entertained. You had to make sure to create obstacles that were difficult to overcome. We wanted to make the physical and emotional obstacles difficult. Rhino is in it for four minutes so it's a legitimate comparison, but when you see the movie, I'm confident," said Webb.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2014.
