Model Laura Simpson had the chance to attend the Oscars with her ever famous best friend Jennifer Lawrence. Simpson has also taken some time to record her experiences in a MySpace blog titled “I Went to the Oscars and Nobody Cared.”

According to The Huffington Post, Simpson and Lawrence met at an event seven years back. The two quickly became friends over their shared love for pizza and the “Friends” character Chandler Bing. It was actually Simpson that Lawrence latched onto when she made her second consecutive Oscar “trip.”

“We finally arrive at the red carpet and as we exit the car, my date eats s—t and use my freshly done Lauren Conrad up do to break her fall,” Simpson writes in the blog. “There are flashbulbs and people circling yet no one asks if I need any help because unless you are famous at the Oscars, you are completely invisible.”

E! News reports that Simpson’s blog gave readers a closer look into the lesser-known aspects of the Academy Awards. Before walking the red carpet, Simpson had taken notice of a Westboro Baptist Church protest focusing on the recent deaths of Philip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Walker. The model had also noted her several close encounters with Hollywood brightest stars.

“Some guy picks up my purse that had fallen off my seat and I say ‘Thank you… Channing Tatum’ and my dress gets caught on Jennifer Garner and we awkwardly laugh and someone tries to separate us,” Simpson writes. “The lovely pregnant Kerry Washington asks me if she could have the Slim Jim in my purse.”
