Former Red Hot Chili Pepper guitarist John Frusciante is set to release his 11th solo studio album Enclosure in April on Record Collection Records.

Artist Direct noted the album was written, produced, performed and engineered by Frusciante in his Los Angeles-based recording studio.

"Enclosure, upon its completion, was the record which represented the achievement of all the musical goals I had been aiming at for the previous five years," says Frusciante. He went on to state Enclosure was recorded at the same time he produced the Black Knights album Medieval Chamber. Frusciante noted the dissimilarities between the two but remarked they represented one creative thought process.

The first single off “Scratch” is available for free download at johnfrusciante.com, and Enclosure is available for pre-order as well. With a variety of mediums, the site offers digital download of the album, vinyl, CD, and even cassette tape. The Enclosure Deluxe package gives you all of the above plus a limited edition T-shirt.

Frusciante has kept himself busy recording and releasing an EP, this time with Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, calling themselves Kimino Kult. The EP is now available for stream on Consequence of Sound.
