Josh Duhamel has signed on for the second lead role opposite the previously cast Dean Winters in the upcoming CBS drama series Battle Creek.
The Transformers actor will be playing FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain, reports TheWrap. Chamberlain is described as a clean-cut, somewhat naive, but blessed in life kind of person and everyone sees him as a nice guy.
In the new drama, he goes to Battle Creek, Mich. where he sets up a small FBI field office and teams up with Winters' Detective Russ Agnew, who no one else wants to work with thanks to his rough and impatient attitude.
The two then team up and work on trying to clean up the somewhat rough streets of Battle Creek.
Others cast on the show include Damon Herriman and Kal Penn. Justified's Herriman plays a detective who looks up to Penn's detective character as they both work in the same precinct.
Battle Creek comes from Breaking Bad's Vince Gilligan and David Shore. The latter will be showrunner while Gilligan writes and executive produces. Bryan Singer also is on board to direct the pilot.
