Julian Casablancas has another song in the works with Daft Punk and may have new music with The Strokes on the way.
The singer recently told Chile's Cooperativa that he worked with Daft Punk on an unreleased song in addition to "Instant Crush" from the robots' LP Random Access Memories. He added "Maybe I'll get those guys. . . we can do that one day soon, finish it."
Towards the end of the interview he expressed his optimism for his band The Strokes as long as they "have it all be positive friend vibes. That's the thing that brings us together, and then we do some Strokes stuff, too."
In Chilean newspaper La Tercera, Casablancas reemphasized friendship for the band saying "We're trying to carry on as friends, taking it easy, recording a couple of songs, do a couple of shows ..."
He also told La Tercera that his next solo album with backing band The Voidz is tentatively planned for September and will experiment with influences ranging from Sébastien Tellier to Black Flag.
