On the comeback trail, having announced her first series of concerts in almost four decades, singer, songwriter Kate Bush sold out all of her London shows in only 15 minutes.
According to BBC News tickets for her 22 dates at London's Hammersmith Apollo went on sale at 9:30 GMT on Friday morning and were completely sold out by 9:45.
The BBC's Colin Paterson reported that tickets with a face value of £135 were already being offered on sale on secondary ticketing sites for more than £1000. By comparison, that is over 1,660 American dollars.
Bush had originally announced 15 shows at the former Hammersmith Odeon, dubbed the Before The Dawn Tour, but quickly added the additional seven dates due to overwhelming pre-sale demand.
In 1978, at the age of 19, Bush topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks with her debut single "Wuthering Heights", becoming the first woman to have a UK number one with a self-written song. She has since written ten albums since but only toured once in 1979. She has made a few appearances here and there, and there has been speculation of a high standard of perfection, and fear of flying, as to why the singer has not toured since.
Bush’s concerts scheduled from the end of August to October 1.
