Lady Gaga will be making her arrival at South By Southwest after all. Gaga will be headlining the Stubb stage which will be outside on March 13th.
Previously Gaga was denied a spot at the festival on the Dorito's stage during the upcoming festival. The denial happened because of public safety concerns, Austin 360 reported.
This will be a small performance compared to the venues that Gaga normally plays. The Stubb stage has a maximum capacity of 2,200 attendees. Attending the concert will be a challenge because of the limited number of spots, so Doritos and Gaga are teaming up and asking fans to perform a series of outlandish challenges, also known as "bold missions." The program will be launched on social media channels and Doritos.com. This will launch days before Gaga arrives at SXSW, Billboard reported.
In a YouTube video that hit the web this morning, Gaga announced what the first bold mission would be.
I hope everyday to inspire my fans to follow their dreams, hold their talents precious and go for it. Doritos is supporting this same message. I always say, ‘I hope to spread love with every invention,’ and I’m excited to see how the crowd at SXSW will spread their own mantras," said Gaga.
For entry to the Gaga show, fans will have to perform their own bold missions in person at the Austin Convention Center on March 11 and March 12 in order to gain a wristband to the show. Randomly selected winners will also be notified via email 12 hours before the show starts.
