A Las Vegas substitute teacher has been arrested for having torrid affair with one of her students.

Tanikka Queen, 22, confessed to having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old eighth grader, according to The Las Vegas Review Journal. Evidence shows that the affair began around Valentines Day and Queen was arrested on March 12.

Queen’s relationship with the minor came to light when the parent of a female student, with whom Queen spoke to on a friendly level, discovered text messages alluding to the affair.

According to Fox Las Vegas, hundreds of text messages were exchanged between the minor and Queen.

“Awwww you're making me blush. Why do you have to be young? Lol I wanna tell the world. When you turn 16?" Queen wrote to the victim, as the age of consent in Nevada is 16, in which case sexual crimes would not be illegal.

Queen initially denied the affair with the student and while being investigated told authorities that the boy was a ‘troubled eighth-grader’. However, police were discovered 2,400 text messages, 108 phone calls, and 38 photographs exchanged between Queen and the student.

Queen has been charged with first-degree kidnapping, sexual assault against a child under 16, statutory sexual seduction and luring a child to engage in a sex act. Her bail is set at $100,00.
