Led Zeppelin will be releasing three albums. New versions of Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II, and Led Zeppelin III will arrive in stores on June 3rd.
Band members were glad to discuss the re-issues. According to Rolling Stone, Page said in a statement, “The material on the companion discs presents a portal to the time of the recording of Led Zeppelin. It is a selection of work in progress with rough mixes, backing tracks, alternate versions and new material recorded at the time."
Fans will be able to appreciate the music in a number of formats, including the single CS, two-disc edition, single LP or 18-gram vinyl. Many of the tracks include recordings from 1969. Some of the favorites include “Good Times Bad Times/ Communication Breakdown,” “Dazed and Confused,” “You Shook Me,” and “Heartbreaker.”
Fans of the band will not only be able to purchase the re-mastered albums. In addition, Page said he would also be releasing some of his own material. According to The Guardian, it is not known yet if singer Roger Plant will contribute recently discovered unreleased recordings.
