A 15-year-old girl in London has died after being shot in the neck.
According to The Mirror, 15-year-old Shereka Marsh was shot in the neck Saturday afternoon. Police and emergency services were called around 4 p.m. to respond to the shooting, but Marsh was pronounced dead at the scene.
The house in which Marsh was shot was not her home address and after a search, a firearm was discovered. Marsh’s friends believe she was accidentally shot and bled to death; currently the speculation has not been confirmed by authorities.
According to The Huffington Post, two 16-year-old boys and one 15-year-old boy have been arrested for the shooting and are being held in police custody.
The street on which the shooting occurred has been shut down and police are standing guard outside of the house while a forensics team investigates.
"She was just like the kind of girl that you would have to fall in love with,” Marsh’s friend, Chainelle Jennings, 16, said. "She lived with her mum, her dad was in Jamaica. They just had each other; just them two and they lived together. She cherished her mum.”
Marsh’s death remains under investigation.
