The Malaysian Airlines plane that went missing on last week is suspected to have disintegrated mid-flight.

This comes shortly after officials out of Vietnam believed to have found a door from Flight 370. Initially, there were suspicions of a terrorist attack because two of the passengers on board were using stolen passports, but Malaysia has since dismissed that suspicion.

According to Reuters, the plane is suspected to have disintegrated due to mechanical issues when it was around 35,000 feet because to the pattern of debris that has been found in the surrounded ocean.

Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 lost contact with officials about 120 miles east of Malaysia. Radars at the moment the flight vanished suggests that the flight attempted to make a U-turn.

The NY Daily News also reports that the plane had just been inspected 10 days prior to this flight, it was said to be in “proper condition.”

There were three American passengers on the flight list: Philip Wood, 51; Nicole Meng, 4, and Yan Zhang, 2. It is believed that there are no survivors.
