Mark Wahlberg appeared on Monday at a CinemaCon event in Las Vegas to celebrate Transformers: Age of Extinction. Director Michael Bay hopes for a big hit with his franchise.

According to the Associated Press, Wahlberg said, “Michael promised me it would be a very different, stand-alone movie, which it absolutely is. It is bigger and better than the other three (films) combined. This will be the biggest movie of 2014."

According to the Daily Mail, Wahlberg plays the struggling inventor and single father, Cade Yeager. Other successful films in the franchise include the original Transformers in 2007 with Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. In Transformers: Age of Extinction, an automobile mechanic and his daughter look towards bringing down the Autobots and Decepticons. The movie also stars Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor. Stanley Tucci and Kelsey Grammer are also in the film.

Wahlberg has had a string of successful films, including Pain and Gain, The Fighter, The Italian Job, Rock Star, and Boogie Nights. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Performance by an actor for The Departed.

The film will be released in movie theaters on June 27.
