Marvel's President of Production Kevin Feige has said the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy film will not be the purely wacky comedy that the audience is expecting.
In the media blitz for Guardians and Captain America: The Winter Soldier Feige gave Badass Digest a better idea of what to expect. He said director James Gunn's intent was to "make it a somber movie in places and a shockingly emotional movie in places. That’s the idea of the roller coaster ride when you go to the movies." Feige also assured that it is still "a weird, zany movie," as should be expected when one of the main characters is a talking raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper, another is a less loquacious sentient tree voiced by Vin Diesel, and another is a rebel outlaw with a Walkman played by Parks and Recreation's Chris Pratt.
Fans looking for more info on the movie would be advised to tune in to Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe, which is airing Tuesday in place of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Already Idle Hands has obtained a glimpse of Lee Pace as villain Ronan the Accuser from their preview of the documentary.
