At least two Mega Millions ticket buyers are going to be a lot richer soon. Lottery officials said that there were two tickets sold with the winning numbers for the $400 million jackpot.
The winning numbers for last night’s drawing were 11, 19, 24, 33, 51 and Mega Ball 7. The jackpot reached $400 million after there were no winners for Friday’s drawing.
According to NBC News, Florida lottery officials confirmed that a winning ticket was sold at the Sunoco convenience store in Merritt Island. Meanwhile, officials in Maryland only said that another winning ticket was sold in Charles County, reports The Washington Post. They did not say what store the ticket was sold at.
The two winners can split the jackpot into two $224 million lump-sum prizes. Maryland does not require the winner to go public and he or she has 182 days to claim the prize. There were also eight $1 million prize winners.
This is the third-largest Mega Millions jackpot in the game’s history.
