The nearly month-long search for a Florida mother came to a tragic end on Monday night.
According to WESH-TV, authorities said they believe they found missing mom Carline Brumaire Jean and her car in a pond at the Royal Pacific Hotel near Universal Studios. An autopsy will confirm the identity of the body and the exact cause of death.
The 39-year-old was an employee at the hotel and had been missing since she left work on Feb. 9.
Jean’s husband said that it was only the third or fourth time his wife drove a car since moving from Haiti last year.
The Royal Pacific Hotel released a statement on Tuesday after the grisly discovery was made.
"Our thoughts and sympathies are with Carline's family and friends during this difficult time. We will do everything we can to help both her family and all of our team members, including having grief counselors available to team members."
The New York Daily News noted that Jean leaves behind a 7-year-old son.
