Morgan Spurlock’s Seven Deadly Sins has been picked up by Showtime. The documentary series has received a series order from the network.
Each eposide in the series will focus on one of the seven deadly sins. The show will be hosted by Spurlock who is executive producing under his own production banner, Warrior Poets, Variety added.
June 19 will mark the date that this series will be airing on the network, Deadline reported.
Spurlock talked about his latest documentary project, "For years, I’ve wanted to do an ‘Alfred Hitchcock Presents’ style show comprised completely of non-fiction stories. A series just as dark and twisted as anything fiction could imagine, and now I’m thrilled to have that dream come true with Seven Deadly Sins. With Showtime as a partner, we’re going to make this as depraved as any scripted program as we dive head first into Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy & Pride. You won’t believe it until you see it … and even then, you may not believe it," said Spurlock.
This is not the first time that Spurlock and Showtime have worked together. They produced Knuckleball!, which was a project from Spurlock worked on and Showtime aired.
