Considering they are due to headline 40 festivals this year, Outkast will be headlining the second annual Bottlerock Festival in Napa, California, along with The Cure and country star Eric Church.
The line-up unveiled on the festival website includes over 50 bands with Heart, The Fray, LL Cool J, Third Eye Blind, and Weezer, to name a few. Bottlerock, now in its second year, will host the eclectic mix of music over the weekend of May 30, 31, and June 1, a week after Memorial Day weekend.
The festival had some highs and lows during the inaugural year in 2013, ending in the producers, Bob Vogt and Gabe Myers losing of about $8 million, who filed for bankruptcy last month, according to the Napa Valley Register. According to the bankruptcy filing, Vogt and Meyers “exhaustively pursued a number of potential buyers and joint venture partners without success” during the second half of 2013.
Latitude 38, who bought the rights to produce the festival this year, have cut down the festival to a weekend, where last year the festival was spread out over five days.
Tickets for the festival are being sold now for 3-day passes, with general admission priced at $279, VIP passes, which include close parking and prime viewing areas priced at $599. For $3000, there is also a “Platinum 3-Day Pass” which includes a private catered lounge, Meet & Greet with some bands, as well as watching some of the bands from backstage. Single day tickets are scheduled to be available in April.
