A new app literally gives you the stalk friends without them knowing.
The app, Connect, was debuted last Tuesday at San Francisco’s Launch Festival. Basically, the app takes information from someone’s Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, and various other social media sites to determine where said person is. While these kinds of applications have made their runs around before, this particular app puts all of your contacts locations on one map.
According to Yahoo, the app gets permission to connect through any social media sites that a person has an account on. After that, the app determines your location based off of the posts you make on those various sites.
Connect allows you to filter your searches for people based off of things like their gender, interests, and even relationship status.
Loyola Digital Advertising reports that if a social media application has permission to know your location in general, Connect can post where you are without your even “tagging” it.
The application is free to download, but to use information provided by LinkedIn there is a $2.99 charge.
