Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios announced on Tuesday that a new Batman video game was due out later this year.

The two companies announced in a press release, that the new game was titled Batman: Arkham Knight and that it would be out on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year.

The game is being called the final game in the Arkham series and will feature Batman going up against some tough villains to protect the city. He will have to fight Two-Face, Harley Quinn and Scarecrow, the latter having the many of the best moments in the Arkham series.

Arkham Knight will allow players to get behind the Batmobile for the first time as well as the usual jumping from rooftop to rooftop experience that previous titles allowed players to do.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment President Martin Tremblay said, "Batman: Arkham Knight is the pinnacle of our hugely successful franchise, and we are giving players the most expansive, impressive title in the series." He added, "The Rocksteady Studios team is continuing to focus on the excellent gameplay for which they are known while delivering a thrilling new experience for games and Batman fans."

Fans are already excited to hear that they will get to drive the Batmobile and that Rocksteady was returning to the series they helped make a blockbuster hit. Polygon notes that the game studio developed Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.
