A Montana woman, who admitted to pushing her newlywed husband off a cliff to his death, will spend 30 years behind bars.
According to the Associated Press, Jordan Graham plead guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced on Thursday to 30 years in prison for killing Cory Johnson.
Graham struck a deal with prosecutors back in December that she would plead guilty to the charge in exchange for the 30 year sentence. She had originally faced life in prison.
The New York Daily News noted that the 22-year-old woman pushed Johnson off a hiking trail on July 7 in Glacier National Park, just eight days after the two wed.
He was reported missing the next day after not showing up for work and the 25-year-old’s body was found on July 11.
At first, Graham gave investigators different stories until she finally broke and said she did shove him harder than she had intended.
"I wasn't thinking about where we were.... I just pushed," she said.
