One cop goes out of his way to make sure two little girls know that they are safe.
When Lieutenant Paul Barbour’s wife told him about her co-worker’s daughters, Aubrey, 11, and Ava Craig, 9, and their fear of safety in their home, he knew he had to do something. The police officer out of Oklahoma didn’t think the girls should face sleepless nights because of the things they see on television, reports Yahoo.
“My heart went out to them and I needed to do something to make them feel safe,” Barbour told KFOR.
During one of his night shifts, Barbour made a special stop to the girl’s home while they slept. There, he left them a reassuring note.
“I work the night shift and patrol neighborhoods and look for criminal activity,” Barbour wrote in the note. “I was driving through your neighborhood and everything looked good! I wanted to drop you a note to let you know all is well!”
According to the Craig family, the girls have been sleeping with more ease after receiving the letter from Lt. Barbour.
