An Ohio man with a violent domestic history killed his wife before committing suicide.
According to NBC4i, Robert Seeber, 54, killed his wife, Lisa Seeber, 45, before turning his gun on himself. It was Seeber’s 18-year-old daughter who called the authorities.
“My dad and mom were getting in a fight. ... I tried to stop them. I tried. ... he came out and shot her," 18-year-old Martina Seeber told the Hocking County Sheriff's Office in a 911 call, according to Columbus Dispatch.
Seeber’s 16-year-old son was reportedly home at the time of the murder-suicide.
Authorities do not know the cause of this specific incident, but it is noted that Robert Seeber had a history of domestic abuse against his family.
In August 2013, while allegedly separated from his wife, she woke in the middle of the night and found Seeber in her bedroom. He told her if she did not get out of the house within two weeks, he would burn it down.
A month later, Seeber reportedly threatened his daughter with a pistol. He was convicted in February 2014 for hitting his daughter sent to prison for 30 days.
Seeber and his wife were reportedly going through divorce proceedings, but decided to give their marriage a second chance before the March 22 murder-suicide.
