Oprah Winfrey has built such a media empire now that she can shepard a book from her fans’ hands to the big screen. Just months after picking Sue Monk Kidd’s The Invention of Wings for her Book Club 2.0, the media mogul’s Harpo Films has picked up film rights to the book.

Winfrey picked the book as her third pick for her new Book Club in December, before the book came out on Jan. 7. It centers on two women hoping to find a voice and start their own lives. One is a slave in 19th Century Charleston. With Winfrey’s help, the book debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times Best Seller list.

“In her book, Sue Monk Kidd has given us such a rich narrative, compelling characters, and a rare historical perspective that we know will be the ideal foundation for a wonderful film,” Winfrey said in a statement today, reports Variety.

Harpo Films currently has a first-look deal with HBO, but hasn’t produced a film since 2007’s The Great Debaters with Denzel Washington. The company is working on Helen Mirren’s The Hundred-Foot Journey for DreamWorks and Participant Media.

According to TheWrap, Winfrey has an interview with Kidd set to air on OWN Sunday, April 13.
