On Tuesday, a pathologist testified in the Oscar Pistorius murder trial and stood firm with a timeline of the events that led up to the death of Reeva Steenkamp.

According to CNN, Professor Gert Saayman estimated that Steenkamp ate two hours before her death, not several hours prior like Pistorius had previously stated.

SA Breaking News reported that Saayman testified that he found partially digested vegetables in the model’s stomach, which indicated that she was awake and eating at 1:00 in the morning. The testimony contradicts the sprint runner’s story that the couple went to bed at 10 p.m. that evening.

The day before, the professor gave graphic testimony about Steenkamp’s autopsy, which left Pistorius visibly shaken as he sobbed and vomited in the courtroom.

The Paralympian is accused of murdering Steenkamp after the two had an argument on Valentine’s Day 2013. Pistorius maintains it was an accident and that he fatally shot his girlfriend after he mistook her for an intruder.
