An unusual yet frantic call was made to the Portland police from a man who claimed his 22 pound cat Lux was terrorizing his family and that they were all trapped in a room.
The owner of the cat and the man who made the call, Lee Palmer, told the Portland dispatcher that his cat was violent and had attacked his 7-month-old baby.
According to the Washington Post the baby only received a scratch on the forehead, however Palmer proceeded to kick the cat “in the rear” which sent the cat into a raging fury. Palmer claimed that his bipolar cat forced him, his wife, his baby and his dog to all lock themselves in a room until police intervention could arrive.
Palmer told the dispatcher, “When I leave out the bedroom to let the police in, I’m going to have to fight this cat . Tell them to be careful — the police.”
The Oregonian reported that even after all of this and claiming that his cat was attacking and charging him, Palmer claimed that he is still going to keep his cat and “keep an eye on his behavior.”
One has to wonder how truly bad the situation was or if it was all being overly dramatized by a scared pet owner.
