President Obama and Michelle Obama have recruited the mothers of famous actors and musicians to help promote healthcare. As part of the #YourMomCares campaign, which reminds Americans to sign up for healthcare in the remaining weeks before the deadline, they recruited the moms of stars like Adam Levine, Jennifer Lopez and more.
"Seriously, do you want your mothers to have a nervous breakdown?" asked Sharon Feldstein, the mom of Oscar nominee Jonah Hill.
Alicia Keys’ mom, Terria Joseph , reminisced about her daughter’s childhood, saying, "Alicia was an old soul. Very active, very interested in things. She only had to hear a song once, and she could play it."
American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez’s mom, Guadalupe Rodriguez, also talked about her famous daughter. “Jennifer walked at 8 months. And she was climbing out of her crib when she was a year old. At one point, I thought, 'Well, maybe she should be a gymnast,’” Us Weekly reports.
Adam Levine’s mom Patsy Noah and Hill’s mom, Feldstein, talked about their “naughty” boys. They urged, “Trust me -- us moms put up with a lot. But one thing we should never have to put up with is our kids not having health care."
Closing out the advertisement is the First Lady herself, who reminds, “We nag you because we love you."
Earlier this week, President Obama unveiled a new approach to urge the younger population to get healthcare, sitting down with actor Zach Galifianakis in his latest edition of Between Two Ferns for Funny or Die.
