Tension between the Ukraine and Russia has been released for the moment since President Putin called Russian troops back on Tuesday.

President Putin said, “As for the use of armed forces, there is no such need for now,” but warned that if the violence in Kiev didn’t decreased, that he would send troops in if it spilled over the border, according to The Hindu.

In the days leading up to President Putin’s decision to call back troops, many countries have cut ties with Russia. U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman's office sent out a statement saying, "Due to recent events in Ukraine, we have suspended upcoming bilateral trade and investment engagement with the Government of Russia that were part of a move toward deeper commercial and trade ties,” according to 9 News . It was also cited that this could be a costly mistake in the long run.

The Ukraine really bristled when a Russian military admiral demanded that Ukraine troops surrender and drop their weapons, after President Putin send Russian troops to do ‘training exercises’ near Crimea.

It was stated that Russian troops were so close to Crimea to protect the rights of Russian citizens and troops that were stations there.
