Nine Inch Nails along with Soundgarden and Death Grips recently just announced a summer tour and all of the bands have packed schedules before the tour kick offs. Leader singer, Chris Cornell opened up about the possibility regarding a Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails collaboration, saying that he was open to the idea.
"We've toured with bands that are and we've toured with bands that aren't, and there's some bands that totally aren't set up for that. Some bands have a thing that they have to do, and the idea of a collaboration might open the curtain so people can see behind it. So you never know," said the Soundgarden lead singer.
Soundgarden recently played the iTunes music festival at South by Southwest and played Superunknown in its entirety.
This summer tour which features all three bands will start in Las Vegas in the middle of July and will make 23 stops across North America. Tickets go on sale for the tour March 21st, Rolling Stone reported.
In a recent interview with Billboard Magazine, Connell explained that no drama was involved when it came to getting the bands together for the tour, it was a normal process.
"It was the way most tours probably come about, which is the tour guys think, 'Well, what tours should we put together?' I don't remember when the idea came up, but it was definitely a while ago -- and that was good because I think starting early usually means that you put together a good package and it can be something somewhat eventful that people might remember,' said Cornell.
The bands had not met one another before this tour planning began but both Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden are fans of each others music.
