Singing phenom Taylor Swift has ended her relationship with her long-time publicist Paula Erickson after seven years together.

The Hollywood Reporter reports how Erickson notified Swift's representatives that she was stepping down in the middle of March. Erickson's Erickson Public Relations is operated out of Nashville, Tennessee and has been managing Swift's publicity since 2007. According to a source, Swift now seeks to have all of her public relations dealings remain internal with her management company. Swift and Erickson started working together when Swift's first album was about to hit a million sales. During Swift's time with Erickson, she has appeared as a host on Saturday Night Live and has performed at the Grammys, the MTV Video Music Awards and numerous country music award shows.

According to Billboard, Swift's newest album is scheduled to come out later this year and now that Swift has split from Erickson she will have her choice of publicists to work with. One public relations official states, "Taylor will have her pick of top-shelf publicists, but the challenge is finding that person you know and trust."
