A Texas mother was arrested on Sunday and faces charges of manslaughter after a drunk driving crash killed two of her four children and injured her other two.
According to WFAA, Crystal Suniga was charged with intoxication manslaughter from Saturday's fatal crash.
KXAS noted that authorities believe that the 30-year-old, who was driving her four kids, could have been going as fast as 100 miles per hour. She eventually lost control of her Sports Utility Vehicle and smashed into two parked cars.
Police said two of Suniga’s sons identified as 10-year-old Ricardo Hernandez and 14-year-old Angel Reyes died at the scene. Her other children a 12-year-old daughter and 16-year-old son were injured and taken to an area hospital.
Suniga also suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital in Dallas.
Officials said that her blood alcohol-content level was 0.18, more than twice the legal limit.
She was transferred from the hospital to the Dallas County Jail on Sunday and no bond has been set.
