Timbaland has dropped a minute long sample of "Slave to the Rhythm" off of the posthumous Michael Jackson album he is producing out of unreleased material.
The legendary producer told Revolt about the project last August. He was approached about the project by Antonio "L.A." Reid, CEO of the star's label Epic Records. At the time the first single was planned to be named "Chicago." For now the first track that the public is hearing is "Slave to the Rhythm."

Timbaland dropped the song as part of his #TimbalandThursdays series on 2 Dope Boyz. The King of Pop himself doesn't make an appearance until the last 25 seconds of the sample, after the beat dies down for a string segment then comes back, with MJ singing "she's a slave to the rhythm."
Timbaland also told Revolt of a complimentary conversation he had with Jackson. "He was like, ‘I like your stuff, you’re good.’ I was like, ‘You’re good too" he said.
