Top 10 Movies Featuring New York City

New York is the best city there is in this world in my opinion, but maybe I’m biased. People flock to New York to fall in love, to make their dreams come true and to make a name for themselves or their families. New York is full of history and memories that last a lifetime. The museums, libraries, and churches that landmark so many corners are beautiful structures that leave one in awe. This is why directors and producers fill the streets each year to film so many amazing movies. Tons of movies are filmed in this beautiful city every year but not all of them are so great. Have you ever watched any of these movies daydreaming what it would be like to be one of these characters? I have compiled a list of the movies that I believe still stand out over time, although there are so many more!

They play their game of cat and mouse all throughout central park and a fictional toy store. Definitely a classic for any age.

If you say you have never seen this movie or do not like it, then you are just lying to yourself. Jennifer Garner plays Jenna Rink, an awkward 13-year-old girl who hates where she is in life. This one night changes both of their lives and lets them rediscover hope and love.

6. The First Wives Club
Four of the greatest actresses that the industry has to offer (Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, Diane Keaton, and Maggie Smith) come together to show us what women scorned can do after one of their dear friends takes her life due to a cheating husband and a lavish lifestyle that doesn't fix the problems. They hit each ex where it hurts: their wallets. The women take back the power in their lives and put all the wealth toward starting a foundation to help other women going through divorces, having their husbands cheat on them, and other similar situations. Add in a great little musical moment, and Sarah Jessica Parker's early acting days, and it's a classic to watch over and over again.

Love, fate, and soul mates. This movie follows the lives of two individuals who meet and have an instant connection, but, because of Sara's superstitions, they part, never to meet again, or have their paths cross, until years later. In the end, she realizes that staying true to herself is the best way to get where she wants to be in life.

3. Cruel Intentions

This twisted story of love, lust, and hate shows some of the hidden secrets families really hide. Sebastian and Katherine are spoiled step-siblings who have a lustful relationship.
