This past week the first full trailer for Transformers 4: Age of Extinction was released.
It looks as though this movie takes place many years after the previous Transformers movie. You wouldn’t even know this is a Transformers movie judging from the first part of the trailer. It is a whole new cast and the first time we see Optimus Prime he is covered in rust and broken down, nearly unrecognizable.
Mark Wahlberg plays the lead in this movie and soon discovers that this old truck he found is in fact a transformer. Apparently transformers have been absent or thought to be for a long time.
Then the trailer shows everything that made this franchise so popular. There is a lot of fighting, cities being destroyed, the government claiming they don’t need the transformers but really do, machines screaming at each other and of course shots of people running in slow motion. You know, all that good stuff.
Also new to the cast is Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Bingbang Li and Kelsey Grammer. However, Michael Bay has returned to direct the film. The movie is being released June 27th.
