Country super couple Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks announced this week that they are returning to Nashville after their youngest daughter heads off to college in the fall.
CMT’s Alison Bonaguro spoke to Yearwood when they were in Chicago, March 16. The couple moved to Oklahoma in 2001 to be closer to Brook’s children from a previous marriage, but now as the young adults move out on their own, the two feel it’s time for them to move on as well.
She told CMT, "It's been the right thing to be at home. But Garth and I both feel like the job of being home every day and going to every soccer practice, that job is coming to an end for us. And so it's time for us to do the next thing.”
According to News OK, the move proves instrumental in reviving the careers of the power couple, especially with Brook’s upcoming 2014 world tour and Yearwood’s own career ambitions. She commented that “It's been a bit of a challenge to not live there and to have to fly in and out for work.”
Superstars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert reportedly purchased a Nashville home earlier this month.
