Wake up to bacon with new iPhone attachment

With Oscar Mayer’s new Wake Up & Smell the Bacon device, iPhone users can wake up to their favorite scent without even lifting a frying pan.

According to NBC News, the accessory will allow you to set an alarm which will wake you with the sounds and smells of sizzing bacon. It is the second iPhone product created by Scentee, to release food aromas to users. However, the device will only be available as a prize for those who enter the upcoming Oscar Mayer contest.

The Guardian notes that the word “bacon” is vastly popular among social media outlets. This popularity is recognized by Oscar Mayer marketing and advertising director Tom Bick.

“With nearly 2 million mentions of #bacon on Instragram,” Bick says. “It seems people never get tired of bacon. Oscar Mayer is thrilled to bring the first-ever bacon-scented mobile device to market, giving bacon aficionados a new reason to welcome their morning alarm clocks.”
