A New Jersey woman has been charged with manslaughter after her New York City client had a fatal seizure following a butt injection procedure.
According to the New York Daily News, Tamira Mobley is facing manslaughter and felony assault charges for the death of Tamara Blaine.
Mobley allegedly gave her 22-year-client the fatal butt injections on July 8. Blaine suffered a seizure and was in a hotel room foaming at the mouth and convulsing when police found her. She was rushed to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
DNAInfo reported that authorities said that the medical examiner's office ruled Blaine's death a homicide on Oct. 7. The office said that the injected silicone went into her veins and asphyxiated her.
Prosecutors said that it was not the first time that Blaine received the injections from the 28-year-old beautician. Mobley also gave the butt injections to other woman over a two-year period.
She was arraigned on Tuesday and is being held on $100,000 bond.
