Zac Efron’s bodyguard has attempted to clear up the rumors that surfaced on Thursday about the actor getting into a physical altercation with a homeless man on Skid Row in Los Angeles.
The bodyguard, who would not reveal his name, told TMZ that Efron actually saved him by thwarting away the men. The site did a background check on him and he does have a criminal history.
He explained they were “cruising” downtown Los Angeles on their way to a restaurant called Little Tokyo at around 12:30am when they ran out of gas in the sketchy area.
As we previously reported, the original story was that for whatever reason – a bottle was thrown out of the window and the homeless men thought they were being attacked.
However, the bodyguard explained the bottle wasn’t thrown out the window but rather userd by Efron to thwart off the men after one actually attacked Efron with a “spear” and stabbed him in multiple areas; his face, stomach and chest.
Efron attacked them back by hurling a vodka bottle at them, which caused them to leave the That Awkward Moment star and his bodyguard alone.
