The film has been very successful so far in the U.S. and it has also been very popular worldwide as well. The film has recored $107.1 million at the overseas box office, which means that the film is well on its way to be one of the most successful films of 2014. Entertainment Weekly mentions that the opening for the film recorded more than the original Captain America film as well as both of the Thor films.

The Winter Soldier continues the story of Steve Rodgers as he is slowly adjusting to life in modern day society and continuing his work for S.H.I.E.L.D. He is ultimately faced with a new threat, the Soviet agent who is known as the Winter Soldier.
