Natalie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones, ran the Virgin Money London Marathon on April 13th.

The HBO series star ran the London marathon for the children’s charity Barnardos according to Digital Spy.

Dormer’s fundraising page on Virgin Money Giving stated, “Barnardo’s transforms the lives of the most vulnerable children through its services, campaigning and research. Issues such as child poverty, sexual abuse and exploitation, disability, mental health, alcohol and substance abuse and domestic violence.”

The actress added, “I am grateful for any donation no matter how big or small. Every penny makes a difference and it’s going to a cause I believe has a massive impact on many children’s lives.”

Dormer revealed on her fundraising page that she trained for the 26.3 mile run whilst shooting scenes for her upcoming role in Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

The English actress said on her Virgin Money Giving page that she aimed to finish the marathon in less than four hours. She conquered her expectations, finishing the race in a respectable three hours and 50 minutes as stated on Refinery29.

Dormer raised $10,900 for the Barnardo’s charity stated Refinery29.com.
