Just because a person is on Twitter doesn’t mean they tweet apparently. In a new statistic, it was found that 44 percent of Twitter users have never tweeted.

The report, done by Twopcharts, instead found that a considerable amount of Twitter users choose to only look to Twitter as a news source or to follow debates as opposed sharing their own words, reported Daily Bhaskar. Further is was found that 30 percent of all account users had only tweeted between 1 and 10 times, according to Delhi Daily News. However about 13% of Twitter users have tweeted more than 100 times.

Similar to the previous news there can also be very vast amounts of followers for different Twitter accounts. About 81 percent of Twitter’s account holders have less than 50 followers. Contrary to this factor however about one percent of the social networking account user’s have more than 5,000 followers. Additionally most Twitter accounts follow less than 50 people in return.

Twitter currently has 214 million active users, meaning at least 214 million people have logged into their account at least once a month.
