Rapper 50 Cent is the newest addition to the cast of Paul Feig's comedy Spy. He will appear opposite its star, Melissa McCarthy, as well as Jude Law, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne, Miranda Hart, Bobby Cannavale and Nia Long.
The Get Rich of Die Tryin’ rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, will play himself in the film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spy was previously titled Susan Cooper. It will begin production this month in Budapest and stars McCarthy as a spy analyst thrust into the field for her first time ever.
This is hardly the “In Da Club” rapper’s first appearance in a feature film. Jackson just finished filming The Prince with Bruce Willis and he was also in last year’s Escape Plan with Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
As we reported back in February, Jackson’s music career is progressing as well, which sees him leaving Interscope Records for Capitol Music Group. The change comes after years of Jackson being vocal about his disapproval of the way they’ve handled his music.
